During a festive award ceremony two members of the HFPA presented a commemorative plaque to representatives of the 29th Jerusalem Film Festival, the legendary Founder of the Jerusalem Cinematheque and Festival President Lia Van Leer and the Executive, Artistic and Festival Director Alesia Weston (Photo).
In brief notes HFPA members Elmar Biebl and Gabriel Lerman talked about the work and charity efforts of the HFPA and encouraged the international filmmakers to submit their products for Golden Globe consideration.
In her introduction Ms Lia van Leer noted,”…I even dare to dream that some day soon we’d welcome Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iran into the Cinematheque to share in the humanizing experience of film”.
