CLOONEY, STREEP WIN BEST ACTOR AND ACTRESS GLOBES

Two Hollywood veterans, George Clooney and Meryl Streep won the Golden Globes for best actor and actress for The Descendants and The Iron Lady respectively.

Clooney has been nominated eight times before and won twice while Streep has been nominated on a staggering 25 previous occasions, winning seven times before.

Clooney was presented with his Globe by Natalie Portman and Streep, who has won eight times before, received her Globe from Colin Firth.
