A suspect in the slaying of publicist Ronni Chasen killed himself tonight.
The man shot himself in the head after Beverly Hills Police detectives approached him for arrest at the Harvey Apartments complex on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood shortly after 6 pm.
According to police sources, the man had been under surveillance for several days following information retrieved from Chasen’s personal computer.
“At the time of the shooting, BHPD Detectives were on scene conducting a follow-up investigation. There were no other injuries related to the incident. Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, there are no further details available at this time” According a BHPD spokesperson. “It’s not over yet.”
