The HFPA jointly hosted, with InStyle Magazine, a celebrity-studded party at Toronto’s elegant Windsor Arms Hotel during the city’s film festival. The annual party, which began in 2000, has become one of the most prestigious events on Toronto’s social calendar and this year’s guests included Nicolas Cage, Keanu Reeves, Robin Wright Penn, Clive Owen, Brenda Blethyn, Bill Nighy, Anthony LaPaglia, Patricia Clarkson and Colin Firth, who had just come from the Venice festival where he won the Best Actor prize for his performance in fashion designer Tom Ford’s filmmaking debut, “A Single Man.”
